Introduction

People prefer to install boilers to their homes because the boilers are economical as well as environmentally friendly. If you require constant hot water supply at your home, you should install a combi boiler or any other type of boiler at your place. For them to keep running smoothly, the boilers need attention and care. The common problem that can make your boiler not to work efficiently is low pressure. When this problem occurs, you should never be so worried because the problem can be fixed with ease. First of all, you will need to know how to identify when the pressure is low. After that, you can proceed to solve the problem.

How to tell that the boilers pressure is low

So many people these days prefer using a gas combiboiler. The boiler can be used for heating especially in winter and hot water needs. Every boiler comes with a pressure gauge. The pressure gauge is usually located at the control panel. The gauge normally has the green and the red zones marked on it. the green zone is an indicator of standard operating pressure. The red zone is a zone that indicates the safest operating pressure. You will easily tell when your boiler pressure is too low especially when the gauge that marks the green zone is below the required mark. When the radiators fail to heat up as they should, that is an indicator that your boiler has pressure issues. You can always confirm any pressure issues by checking the gauge.

Risks involved with low boiler pressure

You do not have to worry when your boiler is operating under low pressure. Reason being, it cannot damage your system. The only thing that low pressure does is have an effect on the effectiveness as well as efficiency on your central heating system. Low pressure will cost you a lot of energy bills and you might end up with a system that cannot heat your home. That is why low-pressure issues need to be fixed with a plumbing company.

The reasons why the pressure becomes too low

One of the reasons why a boilers pressure may drop is due to water leaks. It can also be as a result of bleeding radiators that reduces the system pressure.

How to solve the problem?

When you have low-pressure issues, you should try to solve it as soon as possible. You should start by finding the pressure gauge. Check and make sure that the filling loop reads 90degrees. Through the green mark, you should be able to read the correct pressure level. As you are doing that, make sure that your boiler is turned off. You can try to turn the filling loop and the gauge pressure at the right angle. Turn the boiler on to check whether the correct pressure is achieved or not. As I said, returning your boiler to the right pressure can be done by anyone for as long as instructions are followed to the later.
